Executive Directors

Mr. CHUI Kam Wai, aged 49, is the co-founder and a director of Jetup Electronic (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (“Jetup”). Mr. Chui has directed Jetup’s marketing activities since it was founded in 1980. He is also an executive Director of Nam Tai Electronic & Electrical Products Limited and a director of Nam Tai Holdings Limited, Nam Tai Investment Limited and Nam Tai Investments Consultant (Macao Commercial Offshore) Co. Ltd. (collectively “NTEEP Subsidiaries”). Mr. Chui has over 20 years of experience in the LCD business and has extensive experience in doing business with Japanese companies. 

Dr. YEOH Teck Hooi, [aged 43], joined the Company in September 2003 as the President of Business Development. He is a director of the Company and has been a member of the Board since [October 2004]. Before joining the Company, he worked for Varitronix, a customised LCD manufacturer, from 1994 to 2003 in the areas of technology and operations. Prior to Varitronix, he worked in GEC Marconi Hirst Research (UK) from 1990 to 1994 in the field of optical and display system research. He was awarded a PhD in Liquid Crystal Devices in 1990 at Imperial College (London, U.K.), Master of Science in Microwaves and Modern Optics in 1986 at University College London, U.K. and Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1985 at University College London, U.K.

Mr. YUEN Lap Kei, [aged 43], joined the Company in 1986 and has been a director of the Company [since ?]. Before joining the Company, he held the position of production manager in Slexs Watch Co., Ltd. from 1984 to 1986. In 1994, he was seconded by the Company to Japan to acquire knowledge of liquid crystal injection technology. Subsequently, he successfully set up LCD front, middle and rear processes of LCD production lines in Jetup Electronic (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. He has more than 20 years of LCD manufacturing experience.

Ms. Wong Kuen Ling, Karene, aged 45, has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer (Acting) of the Company with effect from 1 November 2008. Ms. Wong joined Nam Tai Group in June 1989. In January 2001, Ms. Wong was promoted to managing director of a subsidiary of Nam Tai Group. She later held the position of chairman of the Company. After the Reorganization in 2007, she was re-designated as Chief Executive Officer of the NTEEP business unit, responsible for overseeing the overall business of the NTEEP business unit.

Mr. WANG Lu-Ping, aged 51, has been a director of the Company since [? 2008]. Mr. Wang is an executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Nam Tai Electronic & Electrical Products Limited (“NTEEP”) appointed in February 2008. Mr. Wang was appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer of Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. (“NTEI”) in December 2006 and in this position he oversaw the production operation of the NTEI Group. Mr. Wang is also a director of Zastron Precision and each of Zastron Subsidiaries. Mr. Wang has more than 23 years of experience in the electronics industry. He joined NTEI in 1997 as production engineering manager and was promoted to vice managing director in 2002. He was later promoted to managing director of Zastron Shenzhen in August of the same year. Mr. Wang left NTEI in February 2004 but re-joined in December 2006 as its Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining NTEI in 1997, Mr. Wang held several management positions in various companies in Taiwan and Malaysia. Mr. Wang graduated from the Chinese Military Academy in Taiwan.

SENIOR MANAGEMENT

Mr. TRIVEDI Vijay R., [aged 35], has appointed as President, Business Development of the Company since September 2006. Before joining the Company, Mr. Trivedi served as Marketing Manager of RCL Display Ltd., a customized LCD manufacturer in Hong Kong. During his tenure of 8 years in RCL Display Ltd. starting from May 1998 until July 2006, Mr. Trivedi focused in the areas of new business development, project management and international business growth for the company’s products. Mr. Trivedi obtained a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Pune, India in 1996 and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Pune, India in 1994.

Ms. SIT Fung Ying, Connie, aged 44, has been Operation Chief Financial Officer of the Company since [? 2008]. Ms. Sit joined Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. (“NTEI”) Group in 2001. She has over 21 years of finance and accounting experience, of which 19 years were in the electronics industry. Prior to joining NTEI Group, Ms. Sit had worked in a NASDAQ listed electronics manufacturer for 13 years. She is a Fellow of ACCA and an Associate Member of HKICPA. Ms. Sit holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
