J.I.C. Technology Company is currently a solution provider mainly for digital dictionary software development in the Japanese electronics industry. JIC has successfully developed software for over 100 models of electronic dictionaries for Japanese customers. In addition, JIC is diversifying its technology for use in car navigation and portable navigation engines, graphical user interface development, POI and map data compression, authoring, GPS applied product and 3G sensor application product.
In early 2008, JIC was acquired by HKC (Holdings), one of the first movers in the Chinese alternative energy industry. Currently, HKC (HOLDINGS) owns and operates two 30 megawatt wind power stations in Heilongjiang, and has obtained formal approval from relevant PRC authorities to develop a 50 megawatt wind power plant in Siziwang Qi area in Inner Mongolia. The Group is also jointly constructing a 200 megawatt wind power plant in Hebei Province with China Energy Conservation and Investment Corporation (CECIC) with phase 1 of 40.5 megawatts to be completed before the Beijing Olympic Games in August 2008. The Group also has a 24 megawatt waste-to-energy power plant in Shandong owned and operated under a joint venture with the China National Environmental Protection Corporation.
With HKC as the new controlling shareholder, JIC will be able to diversify its revenue stream to include the high growth alternative energy sector. All of HKC's new investments in the alternative energy business will be conducted through JIC. In addition, some of HKC's existing alternative energy assets may be transferred to JIC.
